Ulmus ‘Columella’ is een moderne iepenselectie met een zeer smalle, zuilvormige kroon. Deze cultivar is speciaal ontwikkeld vanwege zijn resistentie tegen iepenziekte. Het kleine, donkergroene blad blijft lang aan de boom en verkleurt in de herfst geel. Door zijn slanke groeiwijze is deze boom ideaal voor smalle straten, lanen en stedelijke aanplant, waar weinig ruimte beschikbaar is.
