At Tree Nursery Michels Classens, sustainability is part of our daily work. As a family-owned nursery, we spend every day among the trees and understand the importance of protecting the environment for future generations.

Where possible, we use mechanical weed control and apply crop protection products and fertilisers carefully and responsibly. Our goal is to grow strong, healthy trees while reducing our environmental impact.

At the same time, we actively improve biodiversity throughout our nursery by creating habitats for birds, insects and other beneficial wildlife.

Biodiversity on Our Nursery

Nature plays an important role in our nursery.

Flower strips provide food for bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, while bird nesting boxes create safe places for local bird species. We also encourage natural predators that help maintain a healthy ecological balance.

A special feature of our nursery is the pond located next to our fields. Throughout the year it attracts birds, frogs and many other species, creating a valuable habitat and increasing biodiversity throughout the nursery.
