Acer × freemanii ‘Elegant’ is een hybride esdoorn met een smalle, opgaande kroonvorm en een zeer regelmatige groei. Deze selectie combineert de vitaliteit en snelle groei van de zilveresdoorn (A. saccharinum) met de sierlijke herfstkleur van de rode esdoorn (A. rubrum). Het blad is donkergroen en verkleurt in de herfst oranjerood tot roodpaars. Door zijn slanke vorm is ‘Elegant’ zeer geschikt voor lanen, smalle straten en projecten waar beperkte ruimte is.
